Though the calendar says it’s still Fall, the only thing falling around here is snow, and it’s likely to stay this way until about mid-April:
However, just a few weeks ago (six, to be exact), we had this instead:
(Eldest made the hand-cut leaves for me… free-hand. She has better cutting skills than I do. Spicy taped the real leaf up. Lefty just put plain tape on the window.)
Don’t let the bare toes fool you. This was right at Halloween, and it wasn’t what most people might of as “warm”… it was 45* outside. But I’m raising hearty Rocky Mountain children, who scoff at things like windchill and shoes. With still air, and bright sun, it was barefoot weather. So say we all.
So until the snow ceases (which was the very end of May this year), I may have to pull out the autumn pictures now and then, and remind myself that is was glorious, and will be again.
