This is what I’m doing on Friday:
My baby brother is in the midst of a battle with Stage 4 metastatic cancer. He’s terminal (as in, he’ll never be fully clear of cancer in his body), but the goal is to keep him terminal for, oh, the next forty or fifty years if possible. He’s had an incredible run so far this year, first with a very sudden and severe diagnosis, a failed summer of treatments in Utah, and now traveling back and forth across the continent to Bethesda, Maryland for treatments there. And so far, the treatments appear to be working!
Still, this has had a huge toll on his sweet family… he’s been unable to work (he’s a cabinetmaker), they’ve exhausted their savings, and they’re just doing the best they can each day. So, some friends and I decided to see what we might do to help out… and the Zumba-thon is one solution!
If you’re in the Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Sugar City Idaho area, check out the link, and come party on Friday night.
My Eldest is baking…
